August 18, 2019, I became the father of a beautiful girl. The baby boss of Pakistan.
It was an experience of a lifetime. I got the call from my family to immediately take my wife to the hospital, I rushed.
For the first time in my life, I was so excited & afraid at the same time.
Running from one place to another to arrange all sorts of things, all the while praying for the health of both my girls – my wife & my daughter.
Then I went into a sujood, a prostration to The One, who controls & wills everything. After what felt like an eternity, I was relaxed.
I went back to the hospital room to make further arrangements, & I was told that I had become the father of a beautiful baby girl, Zoya Hamza!
I am a blogger, so my first thought was to RECORD EVERYTHING of the first year of my daughter and blog about it. BUT I DIDN’T KNEW THAT BEING A DAD IS A FULL-TIME JOB IN ITSELF.
Managing my work, blogging & a family didn’t allow me to start a personal blog of such nature.
I was not even able to fill the baby book every month.
BUT, today I want to make this first post live on the website dedicated to my daughter.

It is interesting to note that everyone who met Zoya in her first year immediately titled her as “The Boss”.
Her expressions, sounds & acts all confirmed the title.

1. Her Mother
Zoya is born to Iqra Irshad Ali, who is a confident woman. She is the type of girl who knows how to get what she wants.
Zoya is carrying the same genes forward. She is confident, knows how to get what she wants with her “aen”sound.
2. She does not meet everyone.
Like bosses, you have to take a sort of appointment to meet Zoya.
Like bosses, she turns down many of those appointments.
It is not the privilege of everyone to meet the boss baby of Pakistan, obviously.
Her Nana is still struggling to make her meet him (without her crying), wish him the best luck.
3. Her Voice:
We are all used to the soft, cute voices of baby girls. Expecting them to have a sweet, melodious voice.
But not the baby boss! Her voice is solid, demanding & assertive.
She makes many authoritative sounds, without using words, to convey her point to the right person.
Why not? She’s the boss.

Yes, our baby boss of Pakistan has an expression to her face exactly like an angry manager. Angry, yet authoritative.

5. She Drives Her Brother Around!
Talk about women empowerment? This little woman drives her brother around in his car! Check this out!
Look at the confidence, driving with one hand and the second hand on the horn “music”. This proves that she has the leadership skills required in a boss or a leader.
6. Her Hair!
Zoya Hamza is the baby boss of Pakistan because she got a unique look to her hair.
She detects any mischief with them.
How? There are two strands of hair always standing on her head like an antenna and she looks cute, bossy, unique all at the same time with them.
There is a family joke that she detects the presence of her mother with this antenna.
7. Aggressive like a Duck!:
Zoya’s facial expressions, her two strands of hair, and her lips all make her look like an aggressive duck most of the time.
This is particularly true when she makes her signature face, the face that I cannot show you, unfortunately.
I haven’t been able to capture it even after trying multiple times, it’s just impossible I think.

Although not cool, bosses can raise their voice to a certain pitch whenever they need to. Similarly, our baby boss Zoya can also bring out a sharp cry whenever she wants something IMMEDIATELY.

You can fool kids by involving them in a play and then doing whatever you want in the surroundings.
But not with Zoya!
She has such focus skills that she is always aware of her surroundings. She knows where her toys are, where her mother is, and what is going on behind her back while she is busy playing with her toys.

Have you ever been in a situation where you wanted to decipher the emotions of your boss but simply can’t?
